I went to the doctor on monday. He thinks it might be a result of anxiety. Which is news to me, I thought I handled stress pretty well. I dont yell and scream or anything. I got a punching bag I beat up to get anger out and I work out. I have only really been full out pissed off twice since high school. Now I have to take these meds(which I hate taking anything thats any type of drugs) So I will take them and some fish oil. Hopefully things will work out.
is badder than you

Did he say what exactly the condition was called?

Sounds like it could be a very mild case of psoriasis. Is the dry skin in patches or all over? Psoriasis is affected by stress, but if its not this, you should be able to get rid of it with E45 cream or something like that.

That sounds about right. What ever the anxiety thing is, my doctor thinks its also causing my insomnia. This is bugging me, cause I handle stress in a healthy manner. I got this old punching bag. I take it out back, slam it to the ground and just pound the **** out of it. I also get on Grand Theft Auto, search the city for a person who resembles the person I am mad at and set them on fire. I feel much better afterwards. I dont bottle this stuff in, nor am I a screaming maniac.

Unfortunately if it is psoriasis, then even though you're handling the stress, it'll still come out if you are stressed... About psoriasis, its a genetic condition and can never been cured. You can treat the symptoms and get rid of the dry skin patches but you cant get rid of the underlying cause. The patches can come out because of stress, but there are numerous other reasons it can come out as well. These can be treated with a steroid based cream like Betnovate or much better are ones like Dovonex which is none steroid based. Sun light clears it up fantastically as well, its a damn good excuse to go on holiday somewhere hot and just lie in the sun! You can also look at what type of soap or shower gel you use, getting a coal tar based soap can help.
