The upshot is that Wagner was strictly a market commodity to many of the knife sellers.... I am too idealistic to adhere to this paradigm. I mean there is a point where one might have to use a weapon and if the feature marketed as a blood groove causes the steel to fracture.... ahem!!
And in terms of application, if the fact that Wagner knows some formal training (cited on the knife forum) is enough to make his digressions mere puffery.... am I the only proverbial one eyed man in the land of the blind who might ask "what if somoene might have to use one of Wagner's techniques"? Lest it be thought I think highly of myself I would say no! I am not the only person to consider this scenerio.... hardly. -

As I wrote earlier, Jim Wagner's credentials or inflation thereof, is relevant as to the value of what constitutes his curriculum. The POW network is unlikely to be motivated by Jim Wagner's market share in the RBSD market itself, but, they might be upset that a guy with less than one year of service is "marketing" himself as if he were a multi-tour combat hardend veteran for the purpose of getting dollars from various manufacturers, book publishers and magazine readers when so many legitimate vets are getting squat in terms of money from civilian sources of revenue that usually mine for talent from veterans ranks, e.g., Special Operators, HRT training coodinators, LEO instructors, etc.. Talking the talk means you have to walk the walk. People just latching onto RBSD as the latest armchair warrior flavor of the month are the ones who run the risk of paying good dollars for useless techniques that may hasten their destruction at the hands of an adversary with bad intentions. Of course that stinks, but, what's worse is some character holding himself out to everyone including Gov't vendors as the "go to guy" for the latest in counter-terrorist, homeland security skills and hardware.

They say at the least, he was in the Police Reserves and are unsure of his full status.

He was a police reserverist but what if he is lying about being on the SWAT team/dong SWAT missions or those escort jobs he mentioned. To do SWAT means you to be which reserve police don't get. Wouldn't that technically count as impersonating an officer? Kind of like a meter maid saying there a detective.

I ALWAYS thought something was odd about Wagner. Since I don't read BB I first noticed him in Germany in BUDO Magazine. I read one article about counter-terrorism on a plane and thought he didn't know what the **** he was talking about. I recall reading somewhere that he was supposed to be SF but I think that was just a retard spouting of something he heard and claimed to know first hand.

Look just read the thread and wait. Notice, if you read everything, no one is completely sure of anything.
