TORONTO Throwdown!!! Aug 2008

OK we need another Throwdown!!!

I'm thinking Sunday Aug 3 or 10th in the evening 6-8ish.

Of course we can always do it at the 'fighting arts collective' but there has been much talk of holding it in Kensington Market @ East West Hapkido.

Lets get the ball rolling, confirm a place, date and time.

Also take a look on face book, I'm gonna start an event there ( I'm Shawn JKD) that way we can confirm who is coming and keep track of the details as they firm up or change.

So far it looks like this is going to be on Sunday Aug 10th 2008

The location isn't set yet...

Most of the activity for this is on facebook so far... the event is called 'throwdown early august'

we're finding out this week about East West...the owner has been out of town for a bit...

Got ten confirmed for the event in anycase...looks like a good one so far...

The date has been set Sunday August 10/08

Time and place we are still waiting to hear about...I will have that for sure by Monday.

Hye Guys - sorry f I caused some cofusion on anothe post. I've been waiting for another Toronto throwdown too and had posted looking to hold one the first wek of Aug at my club at Victoria Park and Queen. I'm located at 2495 Queen St east in the beaches and run my club - Academy of Hapkido & Combat out of an old family friends Dojo - Toronto Shotokan Karate. The location is nice and we can all hit queen st. for food or drinks if a location and time has not been set in stone - otherwise, I'll be at the Dupont location for Aug.8 at 6pm. If the location is still flexible we can do Aug 8, or 10th at my club and if on the 10th we can do an early thrwdown and get out for the early afternoon. I would love to have the next one out there in the beaches, however, for this one since no other offers for space had been made here, or on face book and because I have almost 20 people confirmed already I'm gonna have to stand on this one being at my place.

I'm looking forward to meeting you there Konan...and we shall plan then for the next one, or the one after.. at your place, the guys at East West Hapkido in Kensington market have also voiced an interest in hosting again. These Throwdowns are all about getting to meet eachother and see other spaces and styles, I'm looking forward to getting out of my space in into the next ones.
