    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Cheese - when to (do) avoid?

Is there a definitive word on when cheese falls into your diet? I.E. Carbs heavier in the am and taper off to nothing in the evening is better than eating a load of bread at night....so is there a time of day when it's definitely less ideal to be consuming cheese?

It's not like I'm eating shitloads of the stuff or anything, but most of it IS high in fat, so I'd like to be sure that I'm not creating extra work for myself via eating it at the wrong time.

Goddamn, I love cheese. I literally eat it EVERYDAY, whenever I feel like it.

No, I have nothing further to add to this thread.

Oh man I love it too, especially sheep's milk cheeses. It's the only food item that tests my self-control.

To be serious, I don't think there is a time that is "bad" for eating cheese. It's a good source of protein and as long as you're not eating the nasty processed kind, I think it can be pretty good for you all around. It's just one of those things that when they say "everything in moderation" they really meant it about cheese. In other words, as long as the main bulk of your meal isn't a wedge of gouda (or some other delicious acidified milk product) you should be okay (if you're an active person).

In related news, I made this thread just because of this thread. Feel free to contribute your favorites there!

Hell you could probably even get away with eating a fully cheese meal - it's mostly fat and protein and there just isn't anything wrong with fat and protein, it's great for you. I could totally see myself sitting down and eating about 500 calories of ham or maybe pastrami and swiss cheese and some apples or cherry tomatoes, sounds delicious and healthy.

Oh my word Cheese is AWESOME! I have been laying off it recently, but I have eaten a ridiculous amount of speciality cheese in one sitting!

(Off topic: Btw Steve I love your Sociocide avatar. I love Garth Merenghi :D )

Oooh...mm...I read this thread and then I walked to the bathroom, when this girl Melissa in customer service seduced me with some beef nachos from chili's....normally I wouldve resisted, but...but..I couldn't....

Ooooooh cheese, my friend, my nemesis- how you slay me. I think when I die, I'd like to be covered in melted cheese. Do you think that would be expensive?
