Style: Grappling--
I guess it's kind of hard to answer the question of 'how common' without taking a poll.
I guess a better question would be to ask if anyone can remember a no-gi judo class being given before MMA became so popular. By the way, I bought the Karo book last week. And I think it is pretty good. It has step by step pictures of techniques from multiple angles(believe it or not it is really easy to follow) using grips that I never would have thought to try. My favorite is the triangle grip for tai otoshi but I'm still a little confused as to why he lifts his leg on the tai otoshi, making it look more like harai goshi.
