Here's an excerpt from the saulo DVD:
    http://punchkickchoke.blogspot.com/2...olution-2.html

    I'd personally recommend it too-

I'd say get the Telles video later on, after you get other stuff down, although I can't argue that most people don't know what to do from there.

    Of the ones I've watched-
    Recc:
    Cesar Gracie
    Shinya Aoki (for Judo)
    Marcelo Garcia
    Craig Kukuk/Renzo Gracie

    Not Recc:
Robert Drysdale (Nth Planet) - Overpriced as hell for mediocre quality.

And Telles is REALLY GOOD at the turtle.

That's why you buy both. Also, any video worth it's salt has counters as well

Also, I actually wouldn't recommend the Renzo/Kukuk series. Save your money. For the price, you can pick up Ceasar's first set.

I also though about the Nth Dimension series but decided against it. Picked up Science of Jiu-Jitsu as well. I like that tape because it had a lot of concepts that you can apply to different positions, situations, etc; instead of just a bunch of techniques. He shows a lot of techniques but really stresses the concepts and science regarding making the techniques work correctly and effectively.

The Renzo/Kukuk one has dated quite badly (production wise) but is OK for an intro if you can get it cheap/free.

Roy Dean has good video's for blue belt requiremnts, Roy Harris video's are very good, as well as Ceaser Gracie, I also like Kukuk's BJJ A-Z, some other good vids I enjoy alot Eddie bravo's MTG, Marcelo Garcia, Paul Green hill, Mike Fowler, Saulo, and Damien Maia.

I ordered Saulo's Jiu Jitsu Revolution 1 and 2 on ebay 4 or 5 days ago. I went through an Ebay store because they only charged me 140 for both, compared to sites like budovideos where you get charged 150 per set.

I'm still waiting for it to arrive, and I'm excited as hell.

Eventually I am going to get Telles' set, because I like going to turtle a lot, and I've ended up in the octopus position a few times without any clue of what to do from there. I also want Marcelo's sets, but that's a long time away as well. Costs so much money, and it will take me a long time to go through both Saulo sets, drill the moves, and assimilate them into my game.
