I've found searching for 'tanglang quan' as opposed to 'Northern Mantis Kung Fu' produces better results if you are looking for full contact kung fu/ 'alive' training. So I present to you my findings:
These are from some guy named Hermann Di Mauro (Corny music warning). He supposedly does northern mantis and has videos of his tournaments posted on Youtube. It's not top level competition and in the second video (where his mantis style is more pronounced IMO) he doesn't get much competition from the other guy...but it's a start.

Long time no see--
It appears that Ng family martial arts has finally produced a video of full-contact sparring with one of their guys. Their material always pops up on youtube, but no actual full-contact sparring that I've seen until this:
