    Motorcycles & Martial Arts

Hey guys the other might i went for a cruise on my Motorbike to meet up with a group of motorbike riders who meet on a regular basis.

Anyways as the night was ending we all stopped at a cafe to talk crap and motorbikes. After about 15 minutes of chatting the topic turned to Martial Arts. I did not initiate this topic but some other rider did.

It turns out that out of the 24 riders there 17 of them were into MA and is still practising MA.

Was just wondering if there is possibly some kind of link between MA and Motorcycles.

How many of you BS members ride motorcycles and why do you ride motorcycle?

The general feeling for the guys on that night was that they were all adrenilin junkies and MA and motorcycles can supply this adrenilin

    Your thoughts ?

and if you do ride a bike please tell us what bike you ride and also what MA you train in ?

I would assume a similarity in age as well as hobbies.

These things are all common in the 25-35 year old category.

I have since sold my bike,

but for about 8 years I rode a Kawasaki ZX-11 Ninja.

I have a friend with a ZX-14, It seems much smaller (more cramped) to me.

I sold it because the drivers here seemed to be hell bent on running me off the road a little more every year. Also, I had a reputation for going well over 100mph every time I got it out.

I have a wife and son I need to support more than my speed habit.

    :needpics:

    mine was a '97 sold in 2004

    Awesome. lol.

Anyway, i dont own a bike, i want to but i need money to buy one. My sister rides a Kawasaki 250 (cant remember the model) and she does TKD. Unfortunatly she lives in melb so i cant ride it all the time.

I'm still on my L's so i cant ride anything more than a 250.

I had been riding for a couple years, ended up jacking my ankle in a stupid low speed small off trying to keep the bike upright, I was about 9 months into training, ended up spending all my free time doing that, I liked training more than I liked riding and hated that I couldn't train for the 6-8 weeks my ankle was stuffed, bike basically got used maybe once a week, seemed like a waste, bike got sold awhile later.

...still got the itch, will get another one, maybe just a cheapie and get a streetfighter project going
