If I had all the time I wanted, wow, learn EVERYTHING from a system of combat that has been around since the 15th century.

Common Ronin....open up....starting with..... NOt to disclose to many secrets before a Mcthrowdown (Op Sec).... but where are you weak now? I don't think you will be using swords at the event (could be wrong)... Check Ronin for weapons at the door...

Me weak ???? you gotta be kidding me !!!!
If I had the chance to study with someone like Otake , I would NOT waste it on empty hand combat, even thought the TSKSR has yawara.
But if I have to choose one thing ( their specialty is kenjutsu), I would choose the Haragei.

Thanks.... It will be interesting to see what others are looking for... For me, it would be all unarmed combat, and a MMA guy.. somone... Your question showing me I really have NO experience, on an earlier thread, with actual "combat" made me think....What do I actually know?

Who do you choose then?

I don't know.... not to start a war but probably Rickson Gracie or Bas Rutten... but I am still reading.... What I want is effective selfdefense. I wouldn't be looking to maximize anyone but me...be the best you can be and all that....
