Help with Lake Training
So Itís getting warmer where I live and its time to start lake-ing it out again. The crew I train with has grown and this year I decided that since the scenery where my crew trains is getting a bit old that we could utilize some of the things the lake area has to offer.
This is the lake (if it matters) http://www.mapquest.com/maps/cave+run+lake:Morehead+KY/#a/search/l:::Morehead:KY::US:38.183899:-83.4328:city:/m::9:38.147707:-83.490853:0::/so:Cave+Run+Lake:::d::25:::::/e
*It has some wooded areas to hike/jog in.
Some of the other things I could think of -
*Bas Rutten talked about doing standing submissions in water to get the feel for it and if Iím not mistaken that how he practiced his jumping-standing guillotine.
*The Muay Thai upper cut madness (up and out of the water), that I seen on Human Weapon.
*also last time we was there I found big ass sticks for all of us, and we just beat the **** out of the water with them as hard and as fast as we could at about knee deep in the water. Our hands hurt, but we got a full body work out from it. It was actually pretty sweet.
Well thatís what Iím working with.
Lend me some suggestions guys.
Stand on the bow of a small boat and practise your blocks.
