    No Gi Worlds

I haven't grappled competitively for nearly 9 years. No gi world's is around the corner and I'm thinking about competing in the Executive advanced division. Anybody going and can anybody help me with rule clarifications?

    Go for it.

Unfortunately, as for rules, I can't find anything even after searching good and looking at the IBJJF website. I only thing I can suggest is sending them an email and ask for a copy of the rules.

I did find this article that states they probably use regular Gi BJJ rules, just No-Gi:

Executive? You aren't that old! Or is it a whole different age bracket than NAGA?

    It's IBJJF rules: http://www.ibjjf.org/rules.htm

IBJJF is usually by Belt rank, so if you are unranked in BJJ you will have to pick a belt color. Advanced would be Black Belt. I believe you recieve an IBJJF Mundials Rashguard with the color of your belt rank when you sign up. They're actually pretty cool.

I believe your age division will be Senior I. There is a chance they could combine some divisions, but it's unlikely at a tournament of this magnitude at that age group. If you were Senior II or III then it would be more likely.
FACT- Eddie Bravo invented the triangle choke when he used it to tap out helio gracie at an ac/dc concert.

That still makes you 11 years short of Executive in NAGA-speak.

    Masters: 30+
    Director: 40+
    Executive: 50+
    Helio: 60+

Be prepared to go against the likes of Chris Brennan and Sean Spangler in that division.
