Between the Specials, Selecter, and the Skatalites, y'all have good taste. I'd add Bad Manners to that list as well.Originally posted by Clash77
Reggae, rocksteady, traditional/2tone ska, punk (real punk, not this good charlotte dookie), darkwave, britpop, rocknroll, rockabilly, jump blues, hot jazz, big band, blues....and some stuff I'm not even sure what to label as.
Basically, I'm a huge Clash, Cure, Depeche Mode, Sex Pistols, Ken Boothe, Bob Marely, Specials, Selecter, Echo and the Bunnymen, Skatalites, Smiths, Gene Vincent, Reverend Horton Heat, Blasters, and Tom Waits FREAK.........just to name a few.
What can I say, I grew up in a music snob family. -

Well, I don't really listen to music anymore. But here's a short list of artists that I love:
Frank Zappa
Tom Waits
John Zorn (especially the Naked City work)
Camper Van Beethoven (Key Lime Pie is an underrated album)
Bela Bartok (Symphony for Orchestra...oh my god)
Outkast
Morrissey and The Smiths
Manuel de Falla
Miles Davis (Sketches of Spain)
Ornette Coleman
Fred Frith
Edgard Varese
Melt Banana
The Ruins
Radiohead
Parliament
The Meters
Nina Simone
I REALLY REALLY love what I call "Caper Music". If you know what a caper film is, you know what I mean.Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog
