Shum, is that online correspondence or what you've seen in gyms?
Since I'm limited to online communities I guess that's a hasty generalization. For all I know only one or two of them actually train BJJ and the rest of them are UFC fans living in 1993.

1993 most likely. Lots has changed since then I suspect.

Online. But this ranges from Sherdog to otherwise intelligent forums like my native Something Awful. MA threads there become clusterfucks at frightening speeds, thanks to a slew of people posting "BJJ is invincible" and one guy posting "Wing Tsun is invincibler than boxing".

BlackBeltNow: I think for judoka who follow MMA it IS somewhat important, but many judoka don't follow MMA and couldn't care less. You want some birth control? You can smoke a cigarette.

as a judoka i would love to see yoshida give royce an utter spanking........ some kind of spanking that would mean that royce couldn't complain, or claim that it just wasn't his night. But on the other hand , royce gracie has done so much for the worldwide reputation of grappling as a whole, so i am somewhat torn.
my prediction: yoshida wins after royce is dq'd for outside interference from AnthonyA

Yeah, Yoshida will win, and I hope he does that clearer this time so royce cant complain, eventhough he can barely walk after the fight like last time

Well, here's a BJJ practioner who predicts Yoshida. Sorry Anthony. But Yosh looked good against Vanderlei. I'll ask some of the guys what they think...But don't go running back to the Gracie Academy to tell them!Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog
