You are officially developmentally disabled. The ref stopping the fight is gonna happen no matter what if a fighter is unconscious. And it looked like Royce was (I admit that it turned out that he probably wasn't). There have been other fights in pride with no judges (silva vs crocop and others). Everyone knows that there are no judges in this, they wouldn't be able to get away with that even if they wanted to.Originally posted by BlackBeltNow
ha just like last time there was to be "no ref stoppage"
not likely. pride has biased judges, and remember yoshida represents japanese pride. even if it was no one dominating, yoshida would get the decision. You want some birth control? You can smoke a cigarette. -

hi shumarogoth,
I do JUDO judo. :) How many versions of Judo are there??
J/K. I am a seasoned judoka and have been so for many years, so I know my judo scoring criteria(I better damn well know by know, dammit! lol). In Judo, a pin is simply not a pin if it is 'broken' with an entwined leg. E.g. wrapping your leg around the opponents waist when he holds you in kesagatame. The pin is broken.
Same for the guard (Do-jime). It is not a pin until he clears your legs from around your waist. Maybe you're thinking of tate-shihogatame? -

Oops! Excuse me. I forgot about the leg entanglement thing. -

ahh... it says you've just started judo this year in your profile. Keep it up, Canada is a good place for judo, you'll be a killer judoka in no time!
To keep the thread focused on Royce/Yoshida,
I actually had a scary thought that Royce might get killed in this match. Of course, I am counting(and betting) that he will submit Yoshida, despite what my head tells me, but what I do know is that if Yoshida gets Royce in a choke, Royce sure as hell won't tap. I don't think Yoshida would let go either.
ttt in the hope for a safe fight for both fighters. -
