Style: Mixed Martial Arts--
I always hated running and am not a great swimmer. Skipping is ok, because I have good form.
I've had the best cardio gains for general sparring and Judo by taking up greco/freestyle wrestling. It's fatiguing as all hell, and it's sport specific.
I've noticeably increased my strength and endurance, and shed 6kilograms in five weeks (I wasn't carrying around much fat to begin with). -

Back from the gym, too dark/cold to run outside so I just did a nice jog for 45 minutes followed by 6 sets of sprint intervals.
I like skipping, when I fractured my heel I couldn't really run properly for about 8 weeks. So I did 1000's and 1000's of skips on the balls of my feet. That was pretty awesome though it led to other imbalances as I was compensating for the fracture.
