RAF Waddington International Air Show

Guys,

I realise that many of you are over the other side of the world however; to those within the UK (and Europe I suppose) ...anyone attending the RAF Waddington Air Show over the weekend of the 5th and 6th July can find me working the RAF Regiment Recruitment stand adjacent the VIP Enclosure on the station side of the airfield.

Anyone wanting to pop by and say hello is welcome.

No mate... I'm setting for my deployment in September and Waddington is my parent station.

I'm going to be in surgery on the 2nd and hope to be recovered in time for Farn. I better be because tickets and accomodation are already laid on.

Been there before. It was to visit the AWACS and check the various Ground Support Equipment. Anyway...watching the contractor and the aircraft steps (Custom), a courteous gentlemen asked to speak to me: I recognised his Master Aircrew status - no-one else did. He asked a simple question, which I thought was correct and I put it to engineers - who looked away with a smidgen of embarrassment. Ah, the clear vision of the non-expert...

Blimey but it was long car journey and it's in the middle of nowhere. But if there's a day's outing from here, who knows.....

PS the Officers Mess was nice. Great food and if I lived there, I'd have to run the perimeter regularly not to put on 4 stone...

I could never live there. I'd crack up everytime I told people... And imagining you saying it with a british accent is even more hilarious...
