    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Check out Nippon Kempo matches from Japan
Since I pratice Nippon Kempo, I'll point out that NK is a specific martial art with its own federation (actually more than one). There is also a NK U.S.A., I don't know for Canada.

"Kempo" is a japanese word that basically just mean "striking martial art", so there are many martial arts with "kempo" in the name that have nothing in common apart from being striking martial arts that come from Japan, like Nippon Kempo, Nippon Shorinji Kempo (a different martial art), American kempo Karate, Ryukyu Kempo Karate, etc..
Actually the Japanese also call "kempo" what we call "kung fu".

So if you are doing a karate-like thing with some level of contact IMHO it's ok to call it "kempo" (because it's a very general word), but this doesn't mean that you can pull out videos of a different martial art with "kempo" in the name from youtube and say: "hey it's the same".

Also, to add to MisterMR's already excellent points, not every sentence in a paragraph needs to end in an exclamation point.
