DO NOT even think about trying Soya based protein powder. It's the most disgusting thing in the world and I was very nearly sick on my desk after having one.

Brown rice protein is fine, it has a good enough AA complex, and is better than soy.
Hemp protein is my favorite though, and is just as readily available. It's got all 10 EAA, and is a balanced source of omega 3 and 6 EFAs. Also, the presence of the AA Edestin makes hemp the closest plant source to our own amino acid profile. It is a raw protein as opposed to a processed protein isolate, and is way easier to digest and assimilate as a result. Hemp owns.

What's the most cost effective protein supplement (that actually works)? They all seem more expensive per gram of protein than eggs or ground beef from the grocery.

I imagine hemp protein isn't cheap.

Is there any one that doesn't?

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris
