What School Has the Best Amateur Fighters? TOURNAMENT
The first ever National Pankration Team Duals is scheduled for July 26, 2008 in Orange County, California. Some of the best Schools in the Country will be represented in this Team Format Tournament.
Pankration competition alloys Body Strikes, take Downs and Submissions.
Team Duals consist of 5 minute matches in each of the 9 weight classes. Winning teams advance in the tournament. Losing teams can battle back for 3rd place
Finals will be done under the spotlight with extra effects.

Location: Santa Ana High School
520 W. Walnut St., Santa Ana, California
We will take the first 8 Menís teams and first 4 Cadet Teams to register.
Menís teams: ages 18 and above. 16 and 17 year old may participate with parental waiver. Licensed professional fighters may not participate.
Cadet teams: ages 11 to 13 yrs. 10 year olds may compete with parental waiver.
NOTE- You can combine schools to make a team.
-This is a dual team event. The top four teams will receive a Trophy and individual medals for all top 3 team members.
-All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches.
-Menís Teams should have a competitor in each of the following weight classes:-135lbs -145lbs -155lbs -165lbs -175lbs -185lbs -20lbs -220lbs & 220plus
-Cadet (11 Ė 13 year olds) Teams should have a competitor in each of the following weights: -80lbs -95lbs -110lbs -125lbs -145lbs
-Teams may have up to 5 alternates. (3 for Cadet)
-Each Menís team will have a $200 entry fee regardless of the amount of competitors. Cadet teams will have a $100 entry fee.
-Team Uniforms and Sponsors are encouraged. Sponsors get a free venders table and can post a banner inside the venue.
-This is not an individual tournament. Winning Teams will advance in the tournament. Losing teams will enter a consolation bracket for 3rd place.
Individual wins will score the following team points:
-Submission: 6 points
-Tech Submission (15 pt advantage): 5 points
-Major Decision (8-14 pt advantage): 4 points
-Decision: (1-7 pt advantage): 3 points
-Criteria for tie:
1. Team with most individual wins
2. Team with most submissions
3. Team with most individual scoring points
Teams will be seeded by individual competitor accomplishments Seeding will be done in this order:
1. Prior individual Pankration tournament experience.
2. Prior individual tournament experience other than Pankration.
3. Belt rankings and time training.
Teams are not limited to specific schools and can represent any geographic area.
