If you're against a professional fighter, and still managing to frustrate him and avoid any damage while hurting him and making him look bad, then yes, yes it does.

If you can do it against Tito ortiz for 15 minutes and take no damage, while taking him down twice and giving him an injury that will require later medical assitance, all the while peppering him with blows?

    Yes.

Why do I hear so many people talk about Machida being a fuckin snooze fest? The man is a technical striker with a very unique stand up style that I think makes him one of the most interesting fighters I have seen in years. Snooze fest my ass. All these weekend warriors just want to see some brawling ****.. Go watch EliteXC...

Let's not mistake running in circles:

For avoiding shots. I know everyone wants a balls to the wall million punches thrown and landed fight. I like to see people get frustrated. For all the "come fight me ****" Tito'sguard sure went up quick when Machida got within punching distance. Tito didn't engage or try to hard to take the fight to Machida. When he did he paid for it.

Sorry, why take punishment when you can make a guy miss. Oh and what about the throw and Gnp at the end of round 1?

What about the GnP in round three?

Depends on whether or not you could beat Tito Ortiz that way.

Seriously, you've taken too many blows to the head.
Jesus loves you. I think you're an asshole.

Because being a talented technical striker and having a boring fighting style isn't mutually exclusive?

The same criticism has been put towards wrestlers who dominate a match by basically pinning their opponent down the whole time in a top notch wrestling clinic. While they aren't bad fighters, they are boring ones to watch.

Machida is uniquely boring, and a technical striker.

It was a good fight, he didnt look THAT bad, he almost had him a couple times. Maybe once, and maybe it was the last 5 seconds, but still, one more round and I think Tito would have put the hurt on him.

Machida really needs to work on his GnP. Never seen him so close to being finished.

Tito was not prepared for that fight at all. Machida just shrugged off his takedown attempts, and that was all Tito had.
