Never heard of it (not that THAT means anything - it could be a good program.)
But I'd ask three very important questions:
- What exactly are your goals when it comes to weight training?
- What would you wish to get from any weight training program at this moment, and of MAX-OT in particular?
- What's your experience with weight training?
This is important since a good program is only as good as the goals of the intended user.Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

A quick search on the internet gave me the following impressions:
1. It's based on low reps, 4-6 (a good thing for strenght training) and avoids long warm ups (to avoid unneeded fatigue.)
2. It heats each major muscle group once a week (giving 7 days to recuperate).
3. It requires 5 days of training a week.
4. It aims to complete each workout in 40 minutes max.
5. It's an advanced bodybuilding training system.
This is AST FAQ's regarding the program. https://astss.com/max-ot/faq.asp?page=2
And this is a link on bodybuilding.com explaining the principles of this program: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/james1.htm
Sounds good to me, but the person needs to have a strenght foundation to do this. I don't think this is a good program for a novice (the authors suggest the same.) A 5x5 program like the Stronglifts program (see the link on my sig) would be a good starting point.Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph.
