145lbs class needs to be gotten rid of.
The 145lbs weight class definitely needs to be gotten rid of. I know most of you can't imagine what it's like to be at this weight (dirty fat internet nerds), but it's really a stupid nebulous weight class.
145lbs fighters come from two camps.
The first type of 145lbs fighter is the fighter who actually walks at around 135-145lbs. The 130lbs guy has to bulk up and feed himself full of lard to give himself more weight to make weight. This kind of fighter loses a lot of his ability from having to carry more weight while having trained to be efficient at his normal weight.
The second type of 145lbs class fighter is the guy who walks at 155lbs, but can lose 15lbs to make weight and gain it back. He's too small to fight in the 155lbs class to be competitive, but he's just barely able to scrape by to hit the 145lbs mark. Of course, he has to drop a LOT of weight to get in, and the fatigue of dropping weight really affects you.
I know that this is "true" for every weight class. But trust me, at this light of weight, you don't have the luxury of losing that much weight. It's a class with such tight clearances that it's just so difficult.
I mean, I can fight at 155lbs or I can fight at 145lbs. At 155lbs, it's my walking weight, I do any cardio and I'll drop down to 145lbs. I'm also, small. I'll be very small for the 155lbs weight. I'll have to face people who are 170+ and they can lose the 15ish lbs from there because it's not as much of a shock to the body.
If I drop down to the 145lbs weight class, I have to lose the 10lbs, but I will be in the middle of the weight class. Because there are guys who are 165lbs who can drop the 20lbs in water weight and just make themselves look like zombies to make weight and when they've hydrated up, I'm fucked because now I'm fighting someone who's retardedly larger than me. Of course, both of our bodies are just abused because of having more shock to our bodies relative to people heavier.
What do you guys think?
I think little guys from Asia(including india and russia) say the N-word a lot.

So the 130 lbs can't fight at all without that class.
I think OP sounds like a whiney little(literally) bitch. These problems happen in every weight class. Suck it up and marry a big ass amazonian woman and pray your kids grow up big and strong. That and maybe buy some stock in flintstone vitamins.
I think that's dumb and most of the guys who do really well in 145 are pretty natural there. I think you're more prone to run into the huge weight cuts in the heavier divisions. And as others have stated, it happens in all the wight classes; Get used to it.
But this raises a good question: Should dehydrate myself every comp. and compete at 135?
You need to be gotten rid of Sirc.
I walk around at 148.
I compete at 145.
WHAT NOW? IN YOUR FACE. AM I THE FREAK FROM THE HYPOTHETICAL THIRD CLASS!??!!
but no, i think if i ever get to fight in the WEC or another LARGE org with a 135 pound weight class, i'd probably fight bantam, because i could make 135 pretty easily.
