    Penn vs. Florian/Huerta...

I know this is pretty early to talk about, but I couldn't find any existing threads on this.

What are people's thoughts on the next Title fight? BJ already said it would be hard to get up for a fight with either for the title after defeating Sherk.

Anyone think Florian/Huerta could put up an actual threat to the belt? What do you guys think about BJs responsibility to the belt? Should he be allowed to just move up to welterweight and stop fighting LW?

My personal opinioin is as much as I like both Florian/Huerta, I don't think Huerta's stand up game is good enough for BJ, let alone his Ground game. And I know Florian is an excellent fighter, but IMO he wouldn't stand a chance against BJ.

    Thoughts?

I hope BJ fights GSP instead.
You can't make people smarter. You can expose them to information, but your responsibility stops there.

Kenny Florian's standup is better than Huerta's his ground game is better than Huerta's. Kenny Florian's standup is better that BJ's, his ground game is excellent. He is after all, a black belt in BJJ.

Kenny Florian is going to demolish Huerta, by TKO, early in the fight.

Kenny Florian is then going to outclass BJ Penn on the feet with his beautiful, and deathly accurate striking. BJ will try to take him down, he will get kneed in the face and then knocked out with a head kick.

I saw this in a dream. It will happen as I saw it.

Huerta has massive retard strength. Unfortunately, I'm calling him to win this fight. God I hope he doesn't.

Either way, neither of them stands a chance against the revitalized Penn.

Florian is going to beat Huerta, but I don't think he has a chance against Penn. They have really similar skillsets, but Penn is just the tiniest sliver better than him in everything. Maybe Florian has a tiny edge in boxing, but I don't think it's enough.

    I'd like to be wrong.

That's laughable that you think Florian's standup is better than BJ's.

Either way, Florian will not get the KO. IMO, BJ's got the second hardest head in the UFC LW division behind Sam Stout.

Florian is more well rounded in his striking than BJ , but BJ has much better power. And he does have a really amazing chin.

The notion that people have to quit a division after they've beaten one or two guys as champ is annoying as hell. If you can beat everyone, keep on beating them until you can't. Matt Hughes defended his title more times than BJ, Silva, and GSP combined and it wasn't seen as completely obvious that he had to go Middleweight.
