I'd rather he fight Leben or Franklin or another striker, purely because a fight with Hendo would be boring as hell(OMG, it's so exciting to watch him jab from the outside and shy away to avoid the takedown, then scramble when hendo gets his hands on him).

I don't know why you have such a problem with Bisping. He's actually quite good.

But in all seriousness, Bissey is a good / talented fighter. Would just like to see him fight some people that are on his skill level.

Who has Bisping fought? No, tell me what he's done that's so special, especially considering the calibre of other fighters in his weight class. What, Josh Haynes (9-10)? Elvis Sinosic (8-11-2)? Pointon (6-10)? Mehmet (3-4)? Radford (1-3)?

Bisping's 16-1 record is being kept safe in order to bring in Brit fans. It's not because of his "skills" as a fighter.

Also, that link doesn't have the piledriver fight.

Sorry dude, they must have taken it down they had more fights on there a few days ago.

I dont think Bisping is 'special' I just rate him as a good fighter.

Before the TUF he had gained a good reputation in Europe through beating some decent guys (I train with Mark Epstein who had the pleasure of losing to Bisping twice).

At the end of the day he can only beat the fighters that are put in front of him. It's a cliche but its true.

So they say, but ever since he was getting owned on the feet by Drew McFedries I haven't bought that. He's a "great kickboxer" like Sam Stout is a "great kickboxer", which seems to mean that they're very wooden and get beat by quicker more fluid guys (Stout/Fisher for example). It seems like he's better at subs than he is standing, but I doubt he's good enough to beat Silva so I don't know how much it matters.

With regards to the main event, Hughes looked old and weak and disinterested. I suspect that a few years ago he'd have been able to take pretty much anyone down up to light heavyweight, but now he looks ordinary as hell at everything. As far as Alves/GSP, does anyone else think that there's no way Alves will ever make 170 without cutting off a leg?
