This just in: Thiago Alves came in 4 pounds over weight, Matt Hughes has agreed to fight him at a catchweight of 174 lbs. I was pulling for Hughes before, now I am definitely driving the Hughes bandwagon (bandtractor?). Seriously, that's Gabe Ruediger crap right there. Definitely uncalled for if Alves wants to compete at the top level of Welterweight.

Really? Allow me to expose you to some compelling fight analysis, which doesn't even touch on the fact that Alves is a lazy lard butt.
Vince Tortelli's fight Breakdown, in Numbered Order:
Step 1: Watch Hughes GSP 2 &3. Become extremely worried for Matt in this fight.
Step 2: Realize that Thiago Alves is not GSP, (accent and skin color are dead giveaway.)
Step 3: Do research on this Alves guy.
Step 4: Watch Alves/Fitch, Alves is taken down repeatedly and pounded out.
Step 5: Watch Alves/Karo, Alves is flat on his back with Karo in cross side in seconds.
Step 6: Remember that Matt Hughes has way better credentials in wrestling and MMA than Fitch or Karo, whole "Most dominant welter weight of all time" thing going for him.
Step 7: Bet the farm on Matt Hughes. -
