    i just have to say that tkd is getting watered down. i study tkd with a master that teaches it as a fighting style not a sport. i was only tought the kicks that worked in fights, i never learned "the worm kick" or "the splits kick" becose they do not work in a real fight. the first wtf tornament i "fought" in i was discolified for hitting to hard. what im getting at is that sport tkd is makeing all tkd look nonpractical.

    No matter how "watered down" the sport may get, they still look for knock outs. So you can't get disqualified for hitting to hard, unless you were A) doing ITF and point sparring B) in an Open TKD tournament where they were doing point sparring or C) Hitting to the face in a WTF sanctioned tournament.

    However, hitting to hard to the chest or kicking to hard to chest and head are not grounds for disquailification in a WTF sanctioned tournament.
