At on point he mentions how he feels that the Mount position is very over-rated because the guy on bottom has so many options...I've played it and re-played it looking for any trace of sarcasm. Sadly, I could find none. I'll never look at Bas the same way again.

Why? Oh and how long have you been doing bJJ?

Was he advocating it for everyone or talking about himself?

Don't get me wrong, Bas is the man and I see your point, but it really took me by surprise to hear him speak like he'd rather be on the bottom of a mount instead of being the top guy...
I'm pretty sure you misconstrued what he was saying, I heard him say lots of times commentating Pride that he preferred side control (or 'side mount' as he has it), but never what you're saying here.

    Specific event or fight, please.

Rogan - where the **** else are you going to be able to be entertained by a stoned comedian that knows MMA and says stupid **** and gets fixated on words becuase he's stoned?

    He's a fucking classic.

Goldberg - who the **** listens to him anyway? I just tune him out.

    It Is Fake-

To be honest, I don't recall him specifically saying either way as far as not liking the position for himself, or for his fighters. It sounded like he meant it in the general sense though.

BJJ- 1yr. - Also, I'm not arguing with the man- just surprised at it.

Pointy- No- I know that he does soemtimes refer to side control in that manner, but when he brings it up on the DVD he does so specifically when the fighter is in a "proper" mount. He mentions it a couple times on the DVDs. I'll go back when I get a chance to get the specific fights, and if I can, I'll try to find if the sound from that specific section of the voice-over is on the net anywhere. It was just kind of odd/interesting.

    EDIT:

Pointy: I just conected what you were trying to say. I think you're right. I'm still going to have another look.

As far as the bas comment about the mount - he stated many times he likes side control better than mount because the guy on the bottom can escape easier than in the side mount.

Take that back, you take that back right now.

Mauro Ronallo is the best MMA commentator that there ever was and that there will ever be.

If you don't want to jump all over Mauro Ranallo's nuts, you are definitely homo.

I hate Mike Goldberg almost as much as Tim McCarver, Joe Morgan, or Randy Cross. I like Rogan.
