You know...Rutten use to be my favorite announcer. That was untill last weekend when I got his "MMA CARREER DVD" set in the mail (Which is actually fairly entertaining btw). It has an option you can play where he basically announces his own fights. At on point he mentions how he feels that the Mount position is very over-rated because the guy on bottom has so many options...I've played it and re-played it looking for any trace of sarcasm. Sadly, I could find none. I'll never look at Bas the same way again.
As for the UFC- the best was when they had Randy on w/Rogan and Goldberg. Listening to the other two go utterly silent for minutes at a time after a Goldberg comment was priceless. How uncomfortable must that have been?!?! -

Yeah, the thing is he was talking about it like he'd rather be the guy on the bottom. He even specified that even with striking allowed, he "Didn't think the mount was a good position...".
Don't get me wrong, Bas is the man and I see your point, but it really took me by surprise to hear him speak like he'd rather be on the bottom of a mount instead of being the top guy...
