Any pro wrestler masquerading as a legit fighter would piss me off, but one the Dutch accent and promotion of ridiculous techniques in addition to the Krav? ****.

One thing I'll say for TUF is they have the best commentary: ie - none. It's great just being able to hear the corners yelling instructions and the occasional bit of abuse. There's all the colour and expert commentary you need right there.

Funny, Rutten's barfighting techniques are textbook karatay self defense. Guess old habits die hard.

You know...Rutten use to be my favorite announcer. That was untill last weekend when I got his "MMA CARREER DVD" set in the mail (Which is actually fairly entertaining btw). It has an option you can play where he basically announces his own fights. At on point he mentions how he feels that the Mount position is very over-rated because the guy on bottom has so many options...I've played it and re-played it looking for any trace of sarcasm. Sadly, I could find none. I'll never look at Bas the same way again.

As for the UFC- the best was when they had Randy on w/Rogan and Goldberg. Listening to the other two go utterly silent for minutes at a time after a Goldberg comment was priceless. How uncomfortable must that have been?!?!

He means options to escape and he's not wrong. How many times have you seen fighters rolled from the mount versus from side control?

Even in sport BJJ, my coach advocates looking for the finish from side control for the same reason.

Yeah, the thing is he was talking about it like he'd rather be the guy on the bottom. He even specified that even with striking allowed, he "Didn't think the mount was a good position...".

Don't get me wrong, Bas is the man and I see your point, but it really took me by surprise to hear him speak like he'd rather be on the bottom of a mount instead of being the top guy...
