So, I'm open to general CMA suggestions, especially anything in the East Bay. Anyone out there know anybody good?
Just look for quality instruction and be open to non-CMA stuff. If you still really want CMA then look for a place with a San Da fight team with some credibility.

Well, the EBM school has Sanda credibility and CMA creds up the wazoo! You could also go to King's Gym and take up western boxing, for like $ 50 a month, no contracts. I don't think Brent Hamby makes you join Educational Funding, either. Good luck.

There are many good options out that way, but I strongly concur with new2bjj's suggestion regarding Brent Hamby's academy. He has the real CMA, and he trains a highly respected san shou fight team:

YouTube - San Shou Sanda Kung Fu Kickboxing 散手 www.kungfu.net

His gym is where I'd train CMA in the East Bay.
