I am moving to seattle washington area and was wondering if anyone has heard of or trains with bradley J. steiner.(www.americancombato.com). He is president of combat martial arts and has written a few books, the names currently escape me. Any info would be very helpful.

I have no direct experience with him. So, that's a caveat. But it looks like typical RBSD (reality based self defense) that is full of over the top and inaccurate hyperbole (e.g. lots of "deadly this" and "street that" verbiage). I am not a fan of typical RBSD and think most people would be FAR better off simply training at a good fight gym.
There are several of those in Seattle. One of them, which is a grappling school, I trained at shortly and would highly recommend. It's the Seattle Jujutsu Club. They teach Judo, Sambo and Jujutsu. See: seattle-jujutsu.org. If, for some reason that I'm sure I would disagree with, you are dead set on RBSD, then Seattle JJ probably isn't for you. But you will learn to fight there, I can assure you.

seattle jujutsu is definately one of the schools that I am looking into to continue my grappling. I was simply looking for something weapons based to compliment that. I have heard a lot of good things about seattle jujutsu on the net.

If you're into weapons, I heard there's a really good FMA place in Seattle too. There's a thread around here somewhere... I'll see if I can find a link for you.

Ah, here it is.
The member "Ryno" does something with that.
Ryno trains at this place:http://leskas.com/WordPress/
As well as SJJ (I believe, sorry if I'm wrong).

Yeah, that would be LESKAS Filipino martial arts. www.leksas.com I help run that club in addition to training with the Seattle Jujutsu club. They're both good clubs but I'm obviously a little biased. Other than that, there's some good BJJ, good Olympic Judo, some MMA, and good traditional karate around here. Let me find my list...
Charlie's Combat Club - Everett (mma)
AMC Pankration - Kirkland (mma)
Seattle Kyokushin - Capital Hill
LESKAS Seattle - Crown Hill (Filipino martial arts)
Okinawa Shorin Ryu Matsumura Kenpo - Crown Hill (traditional karate)
Seattle Ju-Jutsu/Seatown Sombo - University District (Judo/Ju-Jutsu/Sombo)
MKG - Greenwood/Phinney (JKD/kickboxing/BJJ)
Ivan Salaverry MMA – Seattle north downtown (MMA, boxing, kickboxing)
Gracie Barra - Georgetown (BJJ)
Northwest Jiu Jitsu Academy - Aurora/95th (BJJ)
Marcelo Alonso BJJ – North Seattle (Carlson Gracie BJJ)
