"Final Solution Kata" Sounds like something you would see in Marvel Vs Capcom that involves your dude dancing around for 40 seconds and then it raining hundreds and hundreds of gi wearing TKD guys in red foam armor onto your opponent for 1 damage apiece....

If you're looking for an ITF taekwondo song, you can't go past The Ode to General Choi, which manages to cram every bit of BS ITF history into one magical ballad.

    General Choi, General Choi
created TaeKwon-Do for all to enjoy.
He studied Karate, he studied TaeKyon
from a calligrapher known as Master Ill Dong

He was sent to the US in June 1949
for military training, had to leave his wife behind.
He returned to Korea, to fight in the war,
and the "fist division" insignia he wore.

    Chorus:
Thank you General Choi, Thank you General Choi,
for creating TaeKwon-Do for all to enjoy.
Regardless of religion, nationality, or race,
you've given TaeKwon-Do to the entire human race.

He trained all his soldiers in the art of Tang Soo,
but the techniques were different, so that name would not do.
So he created a committee, to name his new Martial Art,
of which prominent citizens would be a part.

    And on April 11th, 1955,
the name "TaeKwon-Do" was given its life.
The name was submitted, by General Choi
'cause the name resembled "TaeKyon" that he learned as a boy.

    Chorus

"Tae" means to kick, "Kwon" means to punch,
"Do" is the art that we all love so much.
Based on scientific movement and Asian philosophy,
General Choi leaves the world his "Legacy".

And through the International TaeKwon-Do Federation,
"True" TaeKwon-Do was spread to every nation.
And although he had many enemies along the way,
the "little giant" General perseveres to this day.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

In retrospect, I'm glad I was never actually a part of the official ITF.

The article above really outlines just exactly how deep the collaboration between ITF leadership & the North Korean government went, & how much of a collaborator General Choi was.

"How in the world was the Manchurian Candidate subverted so thoroughly?"

"Well, sir, we've found what appears to be a picture-book full of specific movement-patterns in his den. I had some of my men try these patterns out, and now they do nothing but stare blankly at book--as if waiting for some kind of message. What'll we do, sir?"

Sorry if I have touched a nerve but I cant see how practicing a pattern could in any way support the government of north korea it is after all only a set of attacking and defensives moves.

Would you greet people by throwing up your right arm at a 45 degree angle and saying "Heil Hitler?"

No but followers of glasgow rangers do the exact salute and shout follow follow as in follow follow rangers this salute has been around long before the third reich and will continue long after.

As a supporter I have done this salute to other fans numerous times but that doesnt make me a nazi.
