Quite so, threads are often just like the root, no clue where the bastard thing will roam or end up growing into.

In order to answer the question on hand, we had to go into detail...
Choi and other TKD masters claim TKD is made of taekkyon, which it definatly isn't. It's karate with lots of kicks and made up/ adjusted forms `( all most people knew at that time was that taekkyon had lots of kicks. If someone told em taekwondo=modern taekkyon, and they saw the kicks in taekwondo, who were they to argue?)

Taekwondo = korean karate, but there's nothing wrong with that. Only thing I have against it is the lying about origins. Just because TKD is korean karate, doesn't mean it should be called it. Why not call it "kick, jump, occasionaly punch, and kihap" :zicon_ram ? Cause that's what it is.

I thought you have to rub the buddhas belly not "tinny buddhas" head.

You can call it what ever you want, I would like to call it "We all hate poomse but we practise it since the Koreans tell us to do so."

Well there's always "Pummel 'n' Crank".

No idea how to translate that into Hangul, though.

    "Chaebol-Un-Young-Kim-Sun-Myung-Moon-Comet-Sisters"?

I'm not sure, but wasn't ITF HQ originally in North, and WTF in south?
The ITF HQ was originally in South Korea, then Canada and later in Vienna.
Now there are three groups caliming to be the "real" ITF: one in Canada (the president is the son of General Choi, who was expeled from the ITF by Choi himself), one in Vienna, and the other controled by North Korea.

My new hobby is knocking out people who think it's morally appropriate to practice Juche tul.

I dont particularly care about the morals of practicing juche tul at the end of the day it is just a pattern not the actuall doctrine itself .

Another point is that most of the ITF patterns are named after significant people or events in korean history rightly or wrongly juche is part of that history.

    Complete and utter bullshit.

Would you practice a tul named Heil Hitler, Reich, or Leibenschraum?

Because that is exactly what you're doing. You are supporting the worst regime around today. You are tacitly stating you approve of a government that has placed millions in concentration camps larger than Washington DC.
