WEC - Urijah Faber Vs. Jens Pulver. June 1

    Date: Jun-1-2008 9:00 PM ET
Event Type: Versus - Live Event
    Location: ARCO Arena, CA

Former UFC® Lightweight Champion, Jens “Lil Evil” Pulver returns to 145 pounds, a weight at which he has never been beaten, as he looks to defend his legacy against the #1-ranked featherweight in the world – WEC™ Champion “The California Kid,” Urijah Faber. A win for Pulver secures his spot in MMA history. A win for Faber takes him one step closer to becoming the greatest featherweight fighter ever.

WEC™: Faber vs. Pulver – Sunday, June 1st, live on VERSUS from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA.

Urijah Faber Vs. Jens Pulver - 145 lbs Title Fight
    Yoshiro Maeda Vs. Miguel Torres
    Chuck Grigsby Vs. Mark Munoz
    Kenneth Alexander Vs. Rob McCullough
Richard Crunkilton Jr. Vs. Donald Cerrone
    Jeff Curran Vs. Mike Brown
    Chase Beebe Vs. Will Ribeiro
    Alex Serdyukov Vs. Luis Sapo
    Jose Aldo Vs. Alexandre Nogueira
    Charlie Valencia Vs. Dominick Cruz

Razor Rob looks to bounce back after a knockout loss. Jens is going for the 145lbs title only after just one fight in the WEC and two losses before that. Guess they had no one else to fight WEC champion Urijah Faber who is also training with BJ Penn.

Looks like a solid card with b-list name MMA fighters.

Since I don't know too many of the names on the card due to being relatively new to the sport,

I hope Rob mcullough wins to get back to the top real fast. As for Faber and Pulver, I'd like to Pulver to win for sake of being an underdog but I think Faber has this one easily.

Uriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiijah!! My man crush! I can't wait. This is going to be a great fight. And Jeff Curran is fighting on this card? Very interesting. I look forward to his fight. If he loses, I get to tease Prof. Sauer again...inside my own head.

iirc, jens has never lost at 145. otoh, he's never fought faber.

i like the direction this is taking the wec. definitely their biggest show, with a shot of selling out the arena.

Pulver is a monster at 145. He is going to beat the **** out of Faber, mark my words, Pulver by KO. His wrestling is good enough to defend the takedown, he is bigger than Faber and all he needs is one punch to finish this ****.

Lil Evil is the fucking man.

    My picks:

Pulver, but not because I think he's going to win. I just want him to win because I'm tired of the nuttsucking Faber gets from Mir every time he fights.

    The others:

    Torres by sub
    Munoz by decision
    McCullough
    Crunkilton
    Curran
    Beebe
Serdykov because his name is cooler
Noguiera because his name is cooler
and Valencia because he once made Chuck Lidell's man servant cry on television...

I fucking hate Urijah and his slipt-cleft chin. He has come off as an ass in a bunch of interviews. His head is freakin' huge.

But the guy is a beast and is going to crush Jens' skull inside out.
