Hey everyone! First time posting in Bullshido, although I've been following these discussions for a while .. Anyways, wrestling season has been goin' on for about two weeks and dropping weight while building / maintaining strength is still an issue ( not that I'm slacking in any way ). In my previous years I've taken Ripped Fuel to help with my anxieties of weight control .. but now I'm considering taking protein supplements ( whey protein / powder, maybe? ) with a thermogenic ( ephedrine free ). Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

If you're watching your weight you'll have to be careful of a lot of protein supps as they have sugar and carbs.
Isopure is around 50g protein and 0 calories last time I checked... doesn't taste bad either. The most important thing though would be to make sure your diet is healthy... small meals throughout the day... etc.
Something you might also want to look into, although I have little experience with it, is the 'alkaline' diet Randy Coture is following.

J-Kid - Buy the supplements separately and mix them yourself.
Nothing wrong with ephedra if taken correctly.

Try one of the Blended Protiens by Optimum Nutrition or by Human Development Technologies (I prefer the taste of Problend55 , personally) . I Reccomend these over a Product like Isopure because they stay in your system longer , and they allow you to stay out of a Catabolic state for longer , thus burnig Fat , in leiu of Muscle , which is what you want . Even tho Whey is seen as the "Rockstar" of Protiens , "Better" is NOT always BETTER . Whey acts VERY quickly , but dosent stay in your Stomach for over 40-60 min . This means that you can become Catabolic VERY quickly , or have to keep downing shakes . When you use a Blrended Protein you have about 3 Hours before your body starts to sent the Signal to eat your own Muscle Mass .

J-Kid, betagen might be what you're looking for (EAS). It is expensive as **** though.
