Rickson wants Sakuraba...AND FEDOR!?!
From the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Rickson Gracie was in Japan this week as his son, Kron, was in a BJJ tournament. He did an interview with Tokyo Sports and when they asked about Dreams’ idea of Kron (who has never done an MMA match) vs. Sakuraba, he said “No” and said that he would like to face Sakuraba. They also brought up Fedor Emelianenko, saying that Fedor was the successor to Rickson as the world’s greatest fighter. There is such a huge difference between the two as Rickson never faced anyone once people learned how to fight while Fedor fought tons of real competition. Rickson said that Emelianenko was a great athlete, but his technical ability was so-so. He said he saw his weaknesses, but wouldn't say what they were, but if they were to fight, he is 100% sure he would win.

So is Rickson just gonna talk talk talk (like he's done before) or is he actually gonna fight fight fight?
And why am talking in one two threes?

The BJJ world collapses into chaos as Vince publishes our most carefully guarded secret: The Gracie family is a collection of shameless self-promoters, prone to ridiculous outbursts, and generally full of it.
Except for Renzo Gracie, who is really very nice."No. Listen to me because I know what I'm talking about here." -- Hannibal

kron. What a weird name.
I can't wait to see Rickson get beat up, now that people know how to fight...
OH WAIT, he's all talk...

LOL, I would love to see him fight Fedor. No matter the outcome, it would be hilarious.
Except for Renzo Gracie, who is really very nice.

Rickson's gotta be in his 50's by now.

In terms of pure gi BJJ, Rickson is still ridiculously good. If Jacare publicly admits that Rickson schooled him when they rolled, that's good enough testimony for me.
Rickson was in talks to fight Ken Shamrock a year or two ago, but nothing happened."No. Listen to me because I know what I'm talking about here." -- Hannibal

rickson was born in '58...
I'm sure some promoter, somewhere, will pay rickson enough to fight.
Bet you it will be his last one, though.
