Does Chuck dropping his hands = chambered punches. In my opinion, no. I believe he does it to encourage people to engage with him becuase he believes he has superior stand up skills.
I don't think him dropping his hands has anything to do with chambering. I'm not quite sure were you read that. Watch him flurry against a cage (like his fight with Ortiz.) and you'll obviously see what I'm talking about. His form is very similar to a strong Kyokushin practitioner. Kenpo/Kempo is Karate guys. It's unfortunate how much you guys have been jaded by NA practitioners that polarize the art with bullshido and mysticism.

Muay Thai punching? But yeah outside the western thai boxing community MT practitioners tend to have pretty sloppy hands.

Has Chuck's Kempo background had an influence on his striking skills... of course. Does he punch like a Karateka... no. Comparing him to Kyokushin/Daido Juku and Kickboxing I'd say his hands bare greater resemblance to an american kickboxers.

The pit's stand up is boxing/kickboxing -- The style of kempo Chuck does intergrates different effective styles of fighting. This entire argument is rediculous. The pit teaches teaches MMA.

From the pits website - http://www.thepitmma.com/home.html
"The Pit/Hawaiian Kempo is the ultimate in martial arts and fitness.
We started in martial arts and fitness over 30 years ago, and have evolved into the most effective, functional, practical, proven, "state of the art" system of martial arts and fitness in the world today.

The Pit's mission is to provide a vehicle for everyone of all ages to realize their full potential, get strong, be confident, get into great shape, make friends, and learn self-defense...while having fun."

Also anyone who thinks he chambers his punches is an ass.

I had a chuckle at the way "kiai" was spelled at the end of the article:
