I've seen those little fellers. They're only about 3 inches tall and hand painted.

    Only for a lesbian...

P.S. I'm sure you all saw the Star Trek next generation ep. "Code of Honor" with the "Aikido 1" holodeck training-program program, taught by a holographic sensei?

That's right: apparently now they learn Aikido in Starfleet.

Pfft! Never saw that one! I will have to look that up. There is the occasional aikido technique and/or reference in the USA show Burn Notice, as the main actor trains in aikido, as well as BJJ.

No. But I do remember the Klingon Tai Chi (which I found to be an extremely unlikely candidate as a model for a Klingon Martial Art) and the blind pugil stick martial art Riker practiced. This is on topic because both instances did affect my suspension of disbelief in a way similar to the OP encountering such highly effective Aikido in the Dresden Files.

Oh sure, the Space Wolves can keep wolves as pets, draw wolves on EVERYTHING, and even ride them into battle, but you try the same thing with pastel colored pony and everyone's all "It's heresy!" or "You're a xeno lover!"

Fool. The logistical genius of Roboute Guilliman guides us, and we are invincible. By the simple manipulation of the variouis requisition forms and organizational paperwork, our armies swell with recruits and allies the likes of which would burn your feeble sanity like a moth in a flame.
You had the chance to join us, my friend, but instead you have chosen the path of suffering.
