I've watched it again and he blocks the punches just fine, but he doesn't counter at all the way I thought he would/could. He looked like a pretty skilled boxer in training but he didn't pull the trigger when he had openings and even the punch that dropped May was because May was off balance. It didnt' look as bad as I first thought, but it still didn't look too good.
