Also, making statements about how dangerous your teacher is, and how it is not proper for him to be recorded on film will also keep people from taking you seriously.

I am quickly beginning to think that attending this seminar will be a waste of my time. HL1978, any reason why I should think fotherwise?
Heh, just let it go dude.
Shiranuis a n00b, but so is everyone at one time ;)
    Errant, you do MMA?

Luan on this board checked Akuzawa out and posted his own feedback about the encounter.

Akuzawa used to fight sanda and was a former champ over in China, so hes got a much
clearer way of explaining how these skills are applied under pressure with a resisting opponent in the ring.

I guarantee that the seminar is worth it. If youre a student, then I can arrange a discount. If youre an experienced striker or grappler with actual ring time, it would help to keep it real, and definitely be welcomed.

Lets put it this way, if Ark isnt all hes cracked up to be Ill foot your seminar bill myself ;)

    No intention to pollute MABS.

Without touching Mr. Akuzawa, it is impossilbe to understand the difference
between his movement and that of Systema.

My personal view point is that, Mr Akuzawa let you understood his capability
by moving like Systema which is well-known in your country.

His true movement is very dangerous and not proper to be recorded in the film.

By the way, how could I remove noob icon from this area?
Dude thats like saying its 2 DEaD1Y for da F1LM! Which is complete bullshit.
Arks only human like anyone else. Lets keep it real.

That being said, Id say that even for ring fighting hes got enough skill to stand with at least the best amateur pros out there. But Ill leave that for people that meet him to decide.

Sorry for the one line post -- I train at the Systema dojo in Toronto and the quality of movement - with the emphasis on good postural structure or "frame" - seem similiar.

Errant108, sorry to get back to you so late, been up in Philly with my girl. Sounds like Upyu has answered your questions.

    About competition:

To answer the question, last time I was in Tokyo, Akuzawa was strongly encouraging his students to compete (including me, but my entry in Sabaki Challenge didn't work out), and I know that several of them have prior competition experience.
