Why wouldn't you be able to go strait into it? They'll cater for beginers to, silly, not everyone starts out as a fit master. Go to the extreme gym and check it out, dont be such a wuss about it.

Abs will have gym equipment for you to use, It's been years since I checked the place out but from what I remember you can use the gym equipment whenever you want as part of your m/ship.

If you want to join a different gym for conditioning the UNIs in ADL usually have a student gym which is dirt cheap.

just went to check out abs.. and the people there told me that the abs extreme combat have closed down since 12 weeks ago :S.. so i've asked around and i haven't seemed to find any other gym that has a muaythai facility around the city :S.. there is boxing for fitness but i don't think they do sparring whatsoever.. so my only resort is krav maga and bjj i guess.. would this help at all at making me become a good fighter? and also if anyone could recommend another muaythai gym in the city area it would be great thanks :)

Abs is closed? What a shame.

There are a few other options for MT in the Adelaide CBD.
If you want another option try

    http://www.ninopilla.com/

They also do JKD grapling on weekends.

The KM place is the only place I can think of that does BJJ in the CBD, paying for intro classes is bullshit though.

If I were you I'd join one of the Uni Judo clubs that are like $4 a class, Then supplement it with MT and no-gi grapling.

How far out of the city are you willing to travel?

Yeah, I went to check out extreme combat too, a few months ago and there was a sign on the door saying it had shut down. I have a mate who trains at SD tactics he reckons he's hardly done any grappling aside from escapes to get back to their feet, he really likes it. So it depends on how much BJJ you want to do.Either way I've started doing BJJ somewhere else and I'm really enjoying it. Check out clubs on John Will's website http://www.bjj.com.au/main//?page_id=34 Good Luck

mate try googling and looking for any MMA events that may have been held in your area. Then contact the promoter and ask him or her if they can recomend any camps you can train with.

I think this will be a good way for you to get into the MMA game as then atleast whichever school they recomend will no doubt have a fight team...

    hope this helps.
