Can I make fun of his bench pressing form.err.kata.err.technique? Boing was right.
Not that I've ever approached even 500#

The general two day a week male is indeed over focused on the bench press. Part of this though is that it is a lot more standardized than curling and so is perhaps a better barometer when speaking off the cuff.

What the hell is wrong with the bench press?
The way Tank did it would not fly at a competition, but he is a strong ************.You say what about my rice?

Hey the only way I can make myself feel better is by denigrating others. Cut me some slack.

He'd still be strong were he to perform a "mere" 500 pounds without using his chest as trampoline.
Even guys who're supposed to know better do this crap. Ken Leistner comes to mind. He videotaped himself doing...I don't know what the hell it was....400 pounds for 20 disgusting reps on the squat or something; and posted it online for his followers and critics. I'd be no less impressed if he were to do 315 for 15 perfectly controlled reps. Sets a good example, and takes nothing away from his training.
I just can't stomach this masturbation with weights anymore.

I would. That doesn't particularly impress the old me.

170 rings a bell. Somewhere in that neighborhood.
