BJJ might make you a better ground fighter, but Judo will make you a better dancer.

I echo the sentiment that the red background is a little hard on the eyes.
Apart from that, it's a good clean looking site. Easy to navigate and the information is easy to find.
The background picture on the seminar page really finishes it off nicely btw, are you adding those to every page? You definitely should IMO.
I'm not witty enough for this custom title.

I don't find the red background to be too bad, but you could change it to a more user-friendly color, like some kind of lighter blue or maybe a slightly darker red.

NY Combat Sambo Style: combat sambo
Thanks guys. I am in Iowa right now for the ISCF worlds, but I will make some quick comments on the CT school. I have been out there several times to teach seminars, they also train with Vlad koulikov, and have trained with Rudman too. They have included a sambo program, and have really worked to build it up...they keep veryt regular communication with us as well. They are good skilled guys there. They make no, claims to be great "sambo masters" but simply interested in training and promoting sambo. They are a good bunch of guys. It is a good club. They have a good kids program and are starting you put people in grappling comps...and doing very well.

I have a question, what is being done by the association to help spread schools throughout the country. I'd love for one to open up in South Florida. It seems like you have almost as many schools in New York as throughout the rest of the country.

BTW, Omega, please send me a PM or e-mail with your school's info or any other non-ASA sambo school you know of...if they are credible.
Regarding spreading sambo. It is a slow process...takes time, But consider where we were 5 years ago, and wear we are now...big changes.
The ASA encourages sambo training, work groups, ect...but we don'r certify instructors. we have many sambo and non- sambo members...people who simply are interested in growing, learning more sambo, ect. So, one should read the bios of the members. ASA membership means people support our association, but not necesarily that they are sambo teachers.
for people who want to start work groups, etc, we help in lots of ways. But, you can PM me or read the FAQ section on the wensite.

Good start, but the forum (WorldWideGrappling) needs to upgrade it's vBulletin license ASAP

Yes, the forum is out of date...
I don't run it myself, but will deal with that soon...

Well if you know anyone in the South Florida area that could instruct I'd be more than happy to discuss helping set up a program or study group.
On a side note from researching I've found out there is a cluster of coral reefs off the Florida Keys called "The Sambo Reefs".

I like it Steve. Very well laid out IMHO and pretty easy to navigate. My only comment is to get rid of the Red background on the "schools" and "join" pages. I actually like the grey, looks more professional. Also, that Sherdog fighter search window is a pretty cool tool as well.
Hell, I want one of those Black Six Duece or Black NY Combat Sambo T's.
I just breezed through the forum assuming that is not where you wanted comments; but it does look a bit outdated.

A few things:
1) I think you should unify the color scheme to be the one that is used on the What Is SAMBO page
2) I'd make the What Is SAMBO? page fit onto a single page so you don't have to scroll down at all
3) Under News, video needs a capital V :)
4) Maybe consider splitting the video and photo's off into a video section
5) The page title is Sambo Schools, shouldn't it be SAMBO in cap's?
