    maybe I got penn all wrong. Maybe he is so good, the only way people stand a chance is for him to not cut weight, fight at a weight class that is too heavy for him,and not work on his cardio.

    I just re-watched BJ's fight with Machida. He held his own quite well, albeit Machida is more defensive than anything else.


    I've wondered exactly what makes Penn so dominant, especially in BJJ. Most people would probably say technique. I've heard that he would do insane numbers of repetitions when he was first learning BJJ and that he was intensely focused...His cardio is questionable, but I've always wondered about his strength...how much does his strength play into his performances? I guess only someone who's rolled with him could answer that.

    Correction he WAS too good, we have yet to see if he is still as good as he was. And Jardine is by no means a slouch, I think it could be an intresting fight.
