Franklin vs. Hendo

Rich Franklin has been offered a fight against Dan Henderson. Nothing official yet.

I would love to see this happen. They both could use a big win. Franklin beating Hendo would set his place as a top middlewight and Hendo winning would put him closer to a rematch with Anderson Silva.

I hope to see this happen
What do you guys think abut this fight?

I'd love to see it...impossibly tough call. Hendo's a better wrestler than anyone Franklin's ever faced, but Franklin is so cerebral I can see him finding a way to counter it. Hendo's definitely not gonna out-strike Franklin, hulk hand or not.

This is a tough one... I say Hendo? I like Hendo. But I want Franklin to get his head on straight and stop pussing out on Silva.

I want Hendo to win, mainly because I think he has the best chance against Silva. At the very least, Silva didn't completely dominate Hendo, as he did to Franklin.

It'd be an exciting fight though.

Dude...pussing out? Franklin didn't puss out, he got dominated. The difference is that he got demolished twice, and didn't give up either time, Silva had to render him unconscious to win. He tried his hardest, he's just never going to beat Silva.

What the **** are you guys talking about? This matchup would suck. Hendo and Franklin are very similar fighters. It would be like watching to blunt intstruments smash into each other to find out which is touhger.

How are they similar? Hendo is a wrestler that likes to through once punch knockout style strikes. Franklin has great footwork, likes to throw combinations, and also knows how to work from his back a lot better.

If franklin wins, its going to be a repeat of EVERY fucking match with silva. I don't think franklin can beat him.

If hendo wins...he'll still lose.

What we need is me, to move up to middle weight, to beat up silva!

A little birdie told me that this fight is not happening, at least not soon. The UFC wanted Franklin to fight Hendo at 85 which was appoximately 6 weeks out. From what I've heard Franklin turned it down, he wants more time in between his last bout with Lutter to prepare for Hendo. It'll probably happen but maybe not until UFC 86 or 87.
