He's fighting in Sengoku/World Victory Road. He TKO'd Duane Ludwig on the undercard of Barnett-Yoshida.

Rumour has it he's not friendly with FEG, which is why he fought in PRIDE rather than HERO'S and why he's not in DREAM.

I tought american mma fighters were divas but the japanese...christ! I just read a piece where they theorize on why Akyiama was pulled out of the tournement in the first place. Simply because Sakuraba has beef with him out of that Ole skin moysterizing cream debacle! And what Sakuraba wants, Sakuraba gets...so the guy just disapeared of the card and his status remains to be seen.

Oh and Gomi should just move his ass to the states and fight in the UFC (can't believe I'm saying that) and make a name for himself!

I have a feeling he'll be one of those pride guys that do poorly in the U.S. Especially after his performance of the U.S. Pride event. (Taking nothing away from Diaz)

I believe Gomi's strongest point has been his mental game! Sure he has good hands and great wrestling, but it has always been his willingness to bang that makes him a great fighter! For me I started seeing the chinks in his armor when he got choked out by Aurelio...he seems to have lost some of the fire after that fight and has been on a roller coaster of sorts for the past year...

He looked fine. Nothing spectacular, but he didn't need it. Ludwig is a good striker and Gomi outstruck him, but it didn't prove much.

How much longer before WVR/Sengoku and DREAM merge anyway?

The fight was stopped due to a cut early in the first round. It is hard to say that he out struck Bang very definitively, they both had some solid exchanges. Gomi hasn't had an actual win since 2006.
