Am I the only one who would love to be coached by Rampage. Hes honest, like when he just flat out stated his BJJ game sucks. He also seems to really have alot of damn heart. I dont think I have seen a coach that looked so heartbroke over a loss of one of there team members that they didnt have a close personal tie with. He and Chipper really had a moment back there.. and that was after knowing eachother for HOW many days? I think I would like to have a coach that seemed to invest so much emotion into the fight.

That just means Rampage is an awesome person. I honestly think it's probably hard for most people to be a great fighter and a great coach at the same time.

Good coaching comes through evaluating all your past experience and using it to help benefit someone else based on their needs. When you're actively fighting, especially as a defending champion, you need to evaluate your experience for your own needs, first and foremost.

I see Rampage having alot of the qualities that would make a awsome coach though. Give him some time. He said right at the beganing that he wont make the best coach but its something he would like to do in the future.

yes, his advanced strategy of letting matt serra **** up the quarter final matches paid off in the end.

Yeah, Cas Mac "I'm 10 times as experienced as everyone else on the show" Danzig and Tommy "I'm a gorilla with a blond haircut" Speers would never have ended up in the finals without Matt Hughes masterful bible study.

Mac Danzig would have been in the finals no matter what. Don't forget, that Serra backed down from putting Danzig against Speers in an earlier round.

How so? If I remember correctly, the smart money at the time was that George Sotiropholus (sp??) was going to wreck Speers, and then move on to face Danzig in the finals in a battle of the ringers, excuse me, "most skilled fighters on the show". The fact that Matt Hughes had a great game plan, which Tommy executed perfectly to dispose of the Australian, does not equal Matt Serra "fucking up" the quarter finals.
