    Suarve,

Maybee a link to a picture of the actual real life Al Martin would be a start? Personally Al Martin/his cranky alias/students have caused great confusion to the thread and really not helped themselves. Using false identities, even on internet forums is just very weird where im from.

He just cant be that 'secret' as he clearly is a commercial martial artist, ie by teaching lots of kids (and ok adults to) in after school programs - thats ok (not my thing) but it isnt secret, bad ass lineage driven okinawan kung fu is it.........

If you identify him it will make life much easier for the thread to just present him as he is, im not out to destroy Al Martin, sure he annoyed me when I met him (did I meet him?) and he turned real nasty when I said I didn't want to be his buddy anymore - but thats a little while ago now and I am prepared to move on, but he really need sto himself and frankly the non-sense that has come from him and his group really just isn't cool.

Read his websites, and ask yourself is this really the way the arts should be presented to the world, really is it?

I remain hopeful you have a brain and are a person other than Al Martin and we can get this whole episope sorted.

ok Suarve has identified Al Martin (his instructor), and would you beleive it it is the guy I met and trained with as I thought all along..............

I have Suarves e-mail he sent to me and links contained within it showing the real Al Martin, and will forward to someone neutral and involved in the thread.

I also e-mailed Al Martin and requested (fairly politly.....) he remove my picture and my name from his awful sites, he changed that message and hit reply whilst copying a few of his cronies, thats gone to the neutral source as well - very weird behaviour with a big copy right statement.

Once I work out how to upload entire e-mails I will post my origional message and of course the doctored, weird and frankly offensive responce from Al Martin.

Lots more to come, Al Martin clearly wants to play,

    Ok,

now im recieveing weird e-mails (which I will post shortly once I work out how to do it) from Al martin/his so called students, they seem to simply making stuff up, or changing my e-mails and then sending them on to thier group of nut cases.

Just for the record I met this guy once and politly told him we wouldn't be meeting again.

He is playing games, is clearly mentally ill and if he continues I will be in contact with everyone of his claimed memberships, associations and so called schools he teaches in, so he needs to back down right now.

If my name is removed from his crappy website (I am not his student, and never have been), and my pictures removed from his fake myspace/facebook pages then im simply walking away.

Some people are just assholes and they dont want to change, that will be Al Martin then.

    James/Shoshinkanuk,

I have your emails (plus some from "Al"). I haven't had time to really go through them yet.

However, I wonder if you shouldn't really step back from this at this point. This thread won't go away. It comes up if someone Googles "Al Martin". Anyone reading this surely has enough information to make a decision on the issue.

I just don't see how anyone is going to gain anything by continuing to play these games with "Al" (whoever he really is).

    Hello,

I have been fascinated with this thread after spending the last few hours reading through everything.

I was just browsing through the various sites related to this discussion and noticed that the images listed in the bio pages of the Karate Inc site all followed a rather basic naming format. (Firstname)(Lastname).jpg .

    For example :

    http://karateinc.tripod.com/sitebuil...ohnmayzack.jpg
    http://karateinc.tripod.com/sitebuil...es/kevinvh.jpg
    http://karateinc.tripod.com/sitebuil...ndysilvers.jpg
    http://karateinc.tripod.com/sitebuil...baramartin.jpg

Which brings us to an actual picture of the infamous Al Martin that was also sitting in the same directory as the other pictures, using the same basic file naming rules.

Hi, I am new to the bullshido forum! I found this thread accidently looking for Sensei Al Martin in Florida through Yahoo and Google. I have read this thread but it doesn’t make much sense. I would like to know more about Sensei Al Martin. I am considering joining a class to learn from one of his students. I find what I have been allowed to sample of his system of Okinawan Shorin ryu Karate very intriguing. I live in Cape Coral, Florida. My name is Brent S. I am in my thirties. I have trained with Sensei Jeff Santella http://www.streetdefense.com/ and I also earned my Black Belt in Kenpo from Lee Wedlake http://www.leewedlake.com/ and I have trained with Bernard J. Dougherty who is the (Shihan) of Kobayashi Dojo here in Cape Coral. Shihan Dougherty is a 30-year practitioner of the art of Hayashi-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate. http://www.kobayashidojo.com/ . Would it be possible for some of Sensei Martin’s students to explain how his Shorin ryu is different in kata and technique, from the other four branches? Mr. Suarve or perhaps shadow cow! If you had rather email me my email is bsebelius@aol.com. I would also appreciate a working local telephone number the ones listed on the websites are disconnected.
    Thanks,
    Brent
