It should be a meritocracy and not a popularity competition.
The fans should want to see the best skilled vs. best skilled.

The UFC is a company first and foremost and will reward the fighters the fans connect with....sometimes because of and sometimes despite their skillset.

Saying **** like "Oh, if I was a pro MMA fighter for the UFC..." c'mon.
This criticism is completely valid when applied to those who say that.

Unfortunately, it is a strawman since 1) now one here has said such thing and 2) it does not represent the varied range of criticism being directed at Starnes.

As a matter of fact no one has said 'if I was a pro MMA this or that' - anyone who says so is a retard. THAT should not even be argument.

Incidentaly, the closest thing (and only close thing) to such a comparison in THIS thread was your previous post where you were asking to US, the posters in this thread, whether we would fight Kaleb.

THAT is not an argument since we never claimed such thing, and neither is the post I'm currently replying to (since it is equally unaplicable... not to say stupid.)

Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.

My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

    1) yeah, actually, a few people said things like that, including on the last page when someone said that they could have easly backpedaled like Starnes, and returned shots on Quarry more than he did too. (lol)

    2) I'll adimit that. I was being a dick about it.
