Smooth triangle. Did you place?

He got 2nd, what he fails to tell you is it was a "special" competition.

Thanks for the tag!
Yeah i placed 2nd in under 70kg and 2nd in the absolute, due to my luck - that was my first round match in u70, i got a bye into the final where i had the pleasure of fighting a BJJ brown belt:
YouTube - FILA Trial: Mark vs Sebastien
In the absolute the same thing happened, I won my first match (yes she's a girl; on the other hand she's a purple belt :P)
YouTube - FILA Trial: Mark vs Caoimhe
Then I got a bye to the final, which was awesome because I train with the guy who came first and the guy who came third and both of them would have kicked my ass. I don't have video of the final but it's just me getting guillotined in about 20 seconds. In my defence, the guy's an MMA fighter and very very good.

Pretty nice kneebar Moose. Congratulations.

Thanks jnp. I've been working on that one for a while. I also like the half-guard top kneebar.
Any thoughts or observations on my matches? Personally I think I need to work more on (among other things) finishing from top, and developing a better no-gi open guard.

Great stuff! - Another reason why bullshido should do another run of those shorts. So annoyed I missed out.
