    Heavy Bag Help

Greetings, I just got a new Everlast 100lb hanging bag, the bottom is rock hard. Not like regular bottom hard, I tried to break it in by rolling it around stomping on it, hitting it with a bat, slamming it, standing it on its head for a long period of time, and the bottom is rock solid still. The top is like empty and if I punch it in its "head" theres no resistance and it sways violently, basically the only place I can hit is in the middle. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix extreme bag settling?

there are various leather treatments around to make it supple, try a leather shop, the other thing to look for is a re-enforcement on the inside of the base of the bag.

If that don't work sweat, kick the crap out of it.

I tried stomping on it and rolling it, and took a baseball bat even to the extremely solid parts and the bat does nothing but move this massive hard chunk around. I got it to fill out a little bit, and the stuff in the top goes right back down after like 15 mins of being hung. I'm just going to take this crap back to Dicks, they gave me the floor display because it was the last one. Its probably been hanging there for like 4 years

Might I suggest leaving out the part about beating it with a bat?

Hahaha of course. Seriously though I've never seen anything like this, the part I hit with the bat doesnt even move the bag, theres no sway at all when i swing at it with a steel bat. Well theres like "sway" but its like inches. Anyone ever get one of those water heavy bags? I want to try one out.

Vulgar42Ox, dude, you've been registered for nearly 2 years. No more posting threads in Newbietown, ok?

    Moved thread to Strikeistan...
